The world’s richest race for two-year-olds is on this weekend and miRunners will be represented with four of their trainers putting horses in the famous race.
Between them, David Hayes, Mick Price, Tony Gollan and Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott have six horses running in the AU$3,500,000 race: again confirming that miRunners really does have Australia’s best trainers in their stable.
miRunners is a revolutionary model that makes premium thoroughbred ownership affordable to all Australians. By splitting the cost of ownership into 1,000 equal units, everyday Aussies can own their share in a top quality racehorse for only $275 plus a monthly fee of $15.

David Hayes is no stranger to performing well at the Golden Slipper, with one winner and five second placings, the legendary trainer believes his trio in the Golden Slipper can cause quite an upset. Enbihaar, Long Leaf and the first emergency Qafila are outside favourites according to the bookies, but Hayes is predicting the winner of the Slipper to start from an outside barrier which is what his trio will be doing, Long Leaf has drawn barrier 19, with Enbihaar and Qafila in barrier 15 and 10 respectively.

Leading Queensland trainer, Tony Gollan is considering using a secret weapon as he prepares for the biggest day of his career with Ef Troop in the Golden Slipper this weekend. Gollan was in Sydney on Saturday morning to supervise trackwork for two-year-old Ef Troop before this week’s big Rosehill meeting. Earlier in the week Gollan said “If I am not happy with either [Ef Troop & Outback Barbie] we have the option to ease back and concentrate on the winter carnival,”. So the fact that Ef Troop is in the lineup clearly shows the confidence Tony has in his horse to get the job done.
Tony Gollan will be training Your Song x Sheeznodoubt for miRunners, a filly whose bloodlines Tony has successfully trained in the past.

Earlier in the month, Mick Price’s Seabrook won the Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick, and the Melbourne based trainer couldn’t have been more pleased with the win.
“The conditions are quite testing with the strong head wind and moisture in the ground. But she was tough late. She has Golden Slipper written all over her. She did it the hard way,” explained Price.
Coming off the back of a great victory, Seabrook is one of the favourites to take home the Golden Slipper on the weekend.
Mick Price trains Shezawitness for miRunners, a well-built filly who has already sold out.
