Star Ambition is back in action
Star Ambition is continuing to make encouraging progress under the patient and attentive care of Toby Edmonds at his Gold Coast stables. He has been back in the stables now for a month and will head back out for a quick 2 week freshen up before Toby continues to build his fitness and strength and head back towards the races.
Toby has taken a thoughtful, steady approach with him, allowing him the time he needs to rebuild and strengthen, with his workload being gradually increased at every stage. It has been pleasing to see him respond so well to this program, continuing to improve as he regains his fitness and strength.
There is a real sense of quiet and consistent progress with him at the moment, and it is exciting to watch him take these important steps back towards his best.
Luna continues to impress at the Emeran Park
Our exciting yearling filly ‘Luna’ (Cool Aza Beel x Vanderlune) is continuing to exceed expectations at Emeran Park – and the early signs are incredibly exciting.
As you will see in the video below, Luna has taken every step of her education in her stride, confidently progressing through the gates, embracing the swimming program, travelling to Wyong to the track, and working beautifully in company. Nothing has fazed her.
Emeran Park’s Shannon Benjes couldn’t be more impressed, noting, “There is a lot to like about this girl – she has handled the entire process without any problems whatsoever.”
And it is easy to see why. Luna is proving to be a highly trainable filly, with natural strength and an outstanding constitution, exactly what you want to see at this crucial stage. These early foundations are everything, and she is ticking every box with confidence and professionalism well beyond her age.
Having now successfully completed her breaking-in process, Luna will head out for a well-earned 4 to 6 week spell before returning to work with the expert team at Emeran Park to continue her development and begin building fitness. From there, she will progress to the prestigious Flemington stable of Malua Racing, where she will embark on her first educational preparation at the track.
Moments like this are what it is all about, when a filly of genuine quality begins to show her potential this early in her journey. The excitement is building, and the future looks incredibly bright.

Pippy’s half brother is now a 2YO winner!
We absolutely LOVE our Farnan filly ‘Pippy’. She continues to go from strength to strength, recently completing an important week of orientation at Randwick under the watchful eye of her trainer, Peter Snowden.
This crucial stage is where young horses are introduced to the rhythm and environment of a busy racing stable and Pippy embraced it all with confidence, professionalism, and a wonderful attitude. Peter was thoroughly impressed with what he saw, and it is incredibly encouraging to hear such positive feedback at this early stage of her journey.
She is ticking every box you would want to see in a young filly – handling each new experience with ease, showing great composure, and continuing to build on the strong foundations that have been set for her. There is a real sense that she has something special about her, and the future is looking incredibly bright.
And if that was not enough to get excited about… the pedigree page has delivered a timely boost of confidence. Her half-brother by Dundeel (NZ) has just broken his Maiden as a 2YO in Race 2 at Geelong!
Even more exciting was the manner in which he did it – tough, determined, and full of grit. The kind of performance that makes you sit up and take notice… and the kind that gives you enormous confidence in what lies ahead for Pippy.

Rusty Tycoon continues to deliver exactly what racing is all about – heart, determination, and unforgettable moments for his loyal group of owners. While that maiden win is still just within reach, one thing is certain… he never goes down without a fight.
