For most of history, ownership of thoroughbreds was limited to a select few with high costs and obstacles making it incredibly difficult for the everyday Australian to enjoy the ownership experience.
The miRunners model has changed that as we aim to bring the best horses together with the best trainers and make them affordable, so anyone with a passion for racing can experience the thrill of thoroughbred ownership.

Introducing ‘Diesel’! A colt bred on one of the most reliable Queensland speed formulas, combining a champion sire with a proven black-type family.
He is by Better Than Ready, one of the dominant stallions in Queensland in recent seasons and a multiple Champion Queensland sire. His progeny have earned more than $44 million with hundreds of winners, including Group 1 performer Apache Chase and a host of stakes winners renowned for their toughness and early speed.
Better Than Ready consistently produces fast, precocious runners, with the majority of his winners succeeding from 1000m – 1400m, exactly the type that suits the Australian racing program. This colt is out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare Futureal, a six-time winner from 1050m to 1400m, bringing genuine racetrack performance to the pedigree. The dam has already produced a two-year-old winner, showing the family can get horses that run early. The strength of the pedigree runs deep through the maternal line. His second dam is by Encosta de Lago, one of Australia’s great broodmare sires, and the family traces back to True Jewels, the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner, one of Australia’s premier 2YO races. The family has continued to produce quality performers, including multiple winners and stakes performers such as Anatola, reinforcing the depth and reliability of the female line.
Physically, this colt offers a good depth of girth, a strong hind quarter, short cannons and a walk that covers the ground beautifully. Diesel boasts a precocious sprinting pedigree with genuine depth, giving us the confidence that he will run early and train on into his 3YO and 4YO years.
Trained by Leon & Troy Corstens and Will Larkin – purchased from Newhaven Park Stud at the 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
By Cool Aza Beel (NZ), a high-class Group 1-winning juvenile whose progeny are already stamping themselves as athletic, forward and naturally balanced types with strength and scope, this filly presents an exciting opportunity to secure a daughter of a young sire firmly on the rise.
We have previously highlighted the quality of Cool Aza Beel (NZ)’s stock – including the impressive G1 J.J Atkins winner Cool Archie (another Mick Malone purchase) and it is particularly encouraging to see that Cool Aza Beel (NZ) is producing stakes-winning fillies as well like Cool Aza Rene. This is a significant factor when investing in a developing stallion, as it enhances both racetrack potential and future residual value.
Our new filly is out of Vanderlune, a winning Written Tycoon mare from a family that continues to produce genuine, high-performing racehorses. Importantly, Vanderlune is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Testashadow, adding proven black-type performance and depth to an already appealing pedigree.
Purchased from the 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale (Lot 52), this outstanding colt represents everything we look for in a top-class racing prospect: pedigree depth, proven performance, and elite physical presence. By Cool Aza Beel (NZ) – the same sire as Champion 2YO Cool Archie and Double Cool (4th in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic) – this colt was purchased from the same farm, is heading to the same trainer, and has been identified by our Head of Bloodstock, Mick Malone, as “a spitting image of Cool Archie.” He combines modern juvenile speed with classic scope and is backed by a maternal family that consistently produces winners and stakes performers.
A little bit about his sire. Standing at Newhaven Park Stud, Cool Aza Beel (NZ) is a Group 1 winning Champion 2YO, victorious in the Karaka Million 2YO and Group 1 Sistema Stakes. His first runners have already made an impact at the highest level, producing multiple winners and black-type performers – headlined by Cool Archie, a multiple stakes winner and Group 1 JJ Atkins Stakes champion. This colt is also from a winning Encosta De Lago mare and daughter of Champion 2YO filly Hasna, winner of the G2 Silver Slipper, G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes, G1 Champagne Stakes, and third in the G1 Golden Slipper. Hades has produced five winners, including stakes-placed Mintha, while her daughter Irene (Xtravagant) has produced Group 3 winner Cool Aza Rene.

Mick and Staff, just wanted to let u know we had a wonderful day yesterday at Geelong for Oakley's race. We had an extra person with us and the Admin staff provided Nerida with another guest ticket so we were together for the day. I was lucky enough to win the ballot as u know. I enjoyed spending the time with Claire and the other owners. Some I reacquainted with who were in Fixated. Meeting Sunny the strapper and of course giving Oakley lots of pats prior to him racing. We listened to Beau Mertens give his insight pre and post race and a capable jockey. Oakley tried his heart out in the race considering nearly falling out the barriers and a top ride from Beau. Oakley can enjoy his well earned rest now and I'm very proud of him. Thank u Mick and MiRunners for an amazing time yesterday u tick all the boxes in racehorse syndication.
I have several horses with single shares. Costs a little more but small change really. It’s not about money. Life is to live and enjoy along with the people you meet. And you can’t take money with you. The enjoyment with these quality horses without huge expense is what it’s about. Not country horses but quality horses at a minimum cost. Most importantly our horses are ready to stamp their mark as barely raced quality 3 year olds. Exciting times ahead.
Hello mi Runners team, thank you so much for the beautiful update on Fixated! This is why I have rejoined the Mi Runners team. It's so good to see people not just talking the talk. I keep in touch with Claire and she says is such a dream. It's wonderful to see him looking so well. Thank you!
Having followed horse racing/breeding as a hobby for some 60 years, this is one of my most joyous happenings which could only be achieved via the miRunners module.
Thank you again. Looking forward to the journey ahead.
