Our horse’s sire, Zoustar, has had his first crop to race just this year and what a start his progeny has had! Black Caviar, while a mare, had very similar temperament. For instance she can be in the paddock and a tree could fall over and every other horse would run and bolt but Black Caviar would be calm, look over and just wonder what happened. This colt has that attitude and it’s very important: these types of horses don’t get stirred up about anything so they don’t use any nervous energy on anything other than racing.
Canny Lad’s Daughters
What we also really like about this horse is that the mother is by Canny Lad, a Golden Slipper winner whose bloodlines are well sort after. Canny Lad’s daughters have become highly sought-after commodities: he has become a Champion broodmare sire with his daughters producing no fewer than 11 G1 winners including Champion stallion Redoute’s Choice plus six-time G1 winner Desert War and star filly Mnemosyne.
