About Pippy - Farnan x Pipiana (NZ)

This filly oozes speed! We absolutely stole this filly for incredible value. By Farnan, a sire renowned for producing tough, athletic and precocious performers, this filly is out of a New Zealand mare Pipiana (NZ), adding depth and balance to an already appealing pedigree. Pipiana (NZ) was a winner herself and has already produced a winner called Capiana! Consigned by Mullaglass Stud, a farm renowned for producing early running types including Raging Force (Cosmic Force), the winner of the stallion making G3 San Domenico Stakes – also trained by Peter Snowden, who will train this special filly!

Our Head of Bloodstock Mick Malone fell in love with this filly from the moment he saw her earlier in the week, he expressed that she reminded him a lot of the recent filly North Bloodstock sold at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale, out of All That Sass (an ex-miRunners winner) and also by Farnan, she sold for $300,000 – so we felt this filly was outstanding value when we PURCHASED her for $50,000. We are still a bit speechless that we managed to secure a filly that we love so much at such an incredible price. We are so excited to be able to offer people an opportunity to own and race her.

Farnan Info:
Farnan stands as the most credentialed Champion 2YO Golden Slipper-winning colt of the past decade. By the elite sire-of-sires Not A Single Doubt, he embodies precocious speed, class, and commercial appeal at the highest level. Australia’s pre-eminent two-year-old of the 2019–2020 season, Farnan was a dominant winner of the 2020 Golden Slipper, stopping the clock at an electric 1:10.19. A five-time winner at two — four at stakes level — he amassed $2.5 million in earnings and topped the Timeform 2YO ratings with a figure of 122 after being purchased for $550,000 at Magic Millions.

Farnan has made an immediate and emphatic impact at stud. His first crop has already produced seven stakes performers — Ninja, North England, King Of Pop, Recuperato, Farcited, Farnicle, and Grand Eagle — securing his position as Australia’s Leading First Season Sire by winners and stakes horses. He also led all first-season sires at every major Australian yearling sale in 2024, with yearlings selling up to $1.2 million, alongside standout results at $800,000, $750,000, $725,000, and $650,000.

The highest-earning Australian colt by Not A Single Doubt, Farnan is proving himself a truly elite source of early speed and top-level performance.

He wasn’t just a Golden Slipper winner, he was the dominant two-year-old of his generation. Five wins at two, four at stakes level, Timeform 122, and he won the Slipper properly — quick time, tough, and decisive. He had speed, but more importantly, he had the mind and constitution to use it.

What excites us most is how he’s translating that ability to his stock. His first crop has already produced multiple stakes horses, he’s leading first-season sire tables, and the market has spoken loudly — yearlings selling right up to $1.2 million. That doesn’t happen unless buyers see athleticism, strength, and genuine runners.

By Not A Single Doubt, you expect speed — but Farnan adds quality, balance, and a will to win. If you want a stallion who can get you early runners, commercial results, and horses that trainers actually want in the stable, Farnan ticks every box. He did it himself, and now he’s passing it on.

The upfront payment covers all expenses including:

  1. Horse acquisition
  2. Horse-related costs associated with maintaining, training, and racing the horse
  3. Management fee

All you need to know about trainer Peter Snowden

“I’ve been fortunate to work with some outstanding horses over the years. Since joining Darley in 2007 and later establishing Snowden Racing, we’ve trained more than 2,500 winners and over 400 stakeswinners, including 49 Group One victories from 33 individual horses. We’ve maintained a consistent 20 per cent strike rate and surpassed $200 million in prize money — but for me, it’s always been about doing the job properly, not just the numbers.” – Peter Snowden

Operating out of Royal Randwick, we take a hands-on approach with every horse. Attention to detail matters, and our team works hard to understand each individual athlete and get the best out of them.

At Snowden Racing, owners can expect first-class care, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to delivering both results and an enjoyable ownership experience. Our staff, equine welfare standards, training programs, and race placement are second to none.

“Everything we do is built around the horse. Equine welfare comes first, and we tailor every aspect of care, nutrition, and training to help each horse reach its full potential.” – Peter Snowden
