Global Eclipse reunites with his mate Ben Melham tonight at Cranbourne

Global Eclipse is back at the races tonight under lights at Cranbourne. He lines up in Race 2, a 2025m Benchmark 66. The team at Price Kent Racing cannot fault the horse and advised us that he has not skipped a beat since his last race start. He has drawn a good Barrier (2) and has last weekend’s G1 Blue Diamond winning Jockey in the saddle – best of the luck to his large ownership group.

Pedigree Update: Luna’s full sister wins on the Gold Coast

It is always exciting to see close relations of our recent purchases performing on the track – and last Sunday delivered just that. A full sister to our Inglis Classic filly Luna (by Cool Aza Beel (NZ) out of Vanderlune) broke her maiden in impressive fashion on the Gold Coast for Toby Edmonds Racing in Race 3, a QTIS 3YO Fillies Maiden Handicap over 1200m.

Cool Moon’s performance provides a timely and valuable pedigree update, adding further depth to Luna’s profile and offering an encouraging glimpse into her future potential. Luna is set to be trained by the outstanding team at Malua Racing, who enjoyed a treble at Caulfield Racecourse last Saturday – a testament to the stable’s momentum and form. We cannot wait for the future and to watch Luna’s journey unfold.

Share’s in Luna will be available VERY soon! She will be trained by the Group 1 winning team at Malua Racing at Flemington.

A super Jump Out from Jake this morning at Cranbourne

Our exciting 2YO Graff colt stepped out for a jump out this morning at Cranbourne Racecourse and we could not have been happier with what we saw.

He jumped cleanly, showed great natural speed, and mustered strongly when asked – exactly what you want to see at this stage of preparation. The performance has given the team plenty of confidence as we continue to build toward an official barrier trial and, ultimately, his raceday debut.

“Jake” is not far off being officially named and is close to being fully sold, with only a small number of shares remaining. If you would like to be involved in racing a talented 2YO colt with the Group 1 winning team at Price Kent Racing, we would love to hear from you.

Get in touch today to secure your share.

Don Valiente is heading to another Barrier Trial

Donny has come through his recent trial in great order and without any issues. He is eating well and continues to handle the physical demands of training, which is very pleasing.

Michael Freedman has been in touch and is happy with the progress Donny is making. As a result, he is scheduled to head back to the trials next Thursday at Royal Randwick.

We didn’t get to see his full capabilities at his first outing. Michael mentioned he became a little lost in the run and wasn’t entirely comfortable with the kickback, which is understandable at this early stage of his preparation. We look forward to next week with Donny where we will gain a better insight to where he is at with his preparation toward Race Day!

Rusty Tycoon looks towards his next race target

Rusty has come through last Sunday’s race in terrific order. He is eating everything put in front of him and continues to present as a very happy, healthy horse.

Looking ahead to his next run, he has been nominated for a 1600m Maiden at Doomben next Tuesday the 4th of March.

Rusty is certainly knocking on the door of his maiden victory – things just have not quite fallen his way in recent starts. He remains very fit and is continuing to benefit from the racing experience he is building each preparation.

Mick Rees Mic’d Up at the Inglis Classic Sale!

We put in the hard yards at the recent Inglis Classic Sale and came away with 3 belters. Mick Rees our General Manager exposed our owners to exactly what we look for in a yearling during our Owners Tour!

Zoushack is living his best life at Emeran Park

Our beautiful boy Zoushack is truly loving life in retirement. Happily living at Emeran Park with Shannon Benjes and her wonderful team, he is enjoying his days exactly as he deserves.

Zoushack is spending his retirement relaxing in the paddock, heading out on trail rides, and taking on the very important role of ponying the yearling breakers. This special job plays a vital part in helping young horses as they learn something new – having an experienced, quiet older horse beside them gives them confidence, reassurance, and guidance.

We will continue to keep you updated on Zoushack over the coming months. There is nothing we love more than seeing this handsome marvel so happy, healthy, and thriving in his well-earned retirement.

Pippy has commenced the next stage of her education

When we secured Pippy at the recent Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, we were immediately taken by her strength and balance and how much of a forward, precocious type she is, and she has only enhanced that impression with every passing week.

By Farnan out of the stakes-placed mare Pipiana (NZ), Pippy always looked the sort of filly who would be sharp, athletic and early and that is exactly what she is proving to be.

She has been incredibly well received at The Oaks Farm, where staff have consistently commented on her athleticism, natural presence, and professional attitude. She has continued to strengthen and mature since the sale, carrying herself with the confidence and physicality you love to see in a filly being aimed at early 2YO targets.

Last Monday, she travelled smoothly to Olympic medallist Shane Rose’s property, Bimbadeen Park – where she has commenced her education this week. As expected from such a forward and intelligent filly, she has adapted beautifully to her new surroundings. She is taking everything in her stride, showing natural balance, coordination, and a willing temperament all the hallmarks of a precocious racehorse in the making.

The breaking-in process will take place over the next four to six weeks before she returns to The Oaks for a short, well-earned break. From there, she will head into the Snowden stable for a week of orientation to familiarise herself with her future racing environment. Another brief spell will follow before she heads back into the city to commence her first full preparation.

At this stage, the aim is to see Pippy race as a 2YO, with exciting targets such as the Golden Slipper and the Inglis Race Series firmly on the radar.

Everything she has done to date suggests she has the natural athleticism, maturity and mindset to give herself every opportunity to get there. It is an exciting stage of her development the moment where potential begins to turn into performance and we are looking forward to sharing every step of this exciting journey with her owners. Ownership in Pippy is going to be offered in micro shares, shares will go on sale within the next 2 weeks. We have had an overwhelming response from the public about ownership in Pippy, who knows, could we have the next Dusty Tycoon on our hands?

Pippy is also our very first ONE OFF PAYMENT horse, and shares in her will be available very soon – stay tuned!

Farnished has arrived safe and well at Emeran Park

As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, Farnished is set to embark on an exciting new chapter.

The handsome son of Farnan will change stables this season, giving him a fresh start and a new lease on life. In the meantime, he will enjoy a period of pre-training with Shannon Benjes and her experienced team at Emeran Park, before progressing to his new trainer in Coffs Harbour, NSW.

As you can see in the image above, he is a picture of health – his coat is absolutely gleaming, a true reflection of a happy, thriving horse. We are looking forward to watching him flourish in this next phase.
