Rusty Tycoon is heading to the Barrier Trials
Rusty Tycoon will head to the trials at Doomben on Monday! He will line up in Heat 7 over 1000m. Rusty Tycoon has continued to improve every single day of this preparation and the team at Robert Heathcote Racing are very happy with his progress. He showed us good speed and talent last preparation and now that he has had time to furnish and mature, it is a really exciting time for his owners as we head towards race day again.
Global Eclipse is heading to Mornington on Wednesday
Global Eclipse has been nothing but a champion in our eyes this preparation, trying to dodge the extremely wet tracks in Victoria that he doesn’t love… and still giving his owners placings at his last three starts. With a win certainly looming, he will head to Mornington next week for a $40,000 Benchmark 70 over 2025m… fingers crossed for a dry track!

Farnished has his eyes on a new target at Gosford
Farnished has his eyes set on a new target, he will head to the races at Gosford on the 18th of December where he will contest a $60,000 Super Maiden Plate over 1200m. The team at Waterhouse Bott Racing feel he will take great improvement from his last trip out and will benefit from the drop in grade and the slightly longer distance. We’re looking forward to seeing the beautiful son of Farnan step out!

Star Ambition is enjoying his break
Star Ambition or ‘Gerry’ gave his owners a super preparation over the last few months with 2 wins and 2 placings which means his is a winner as a 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old – what a ride! We look forward to Star Ambition continuing to enjoy his spell and returning in top shape for his next preparation with Toby Edmonds on the Gold Coast.
Johnny has been nominated for the $3M Magic Millions 2YO Classic
Exciting news out the Tony Gollan stables this week. Our exciting 2YO Xtravagant Johnny has been nominated for the upcoming 2026 Magic Millions 2YO Classic over 1200m.
The Magic Millions 2YO Classic is a Listed race worth $3,000,000 held on the Gold Coast on the 17th of January and is one of the feature 2YO races on the Australian racing calendar. Past winners include Capitalist, Phelan Ready, Storm Boy, Sunlight, Houtzen, Away Game, O’Ole, Unencumbered, Shaquero, Coolangatta, etc.
Val De Grise impresses at her Barrier Trial at Deagon earlier this week
It’s been a super week for Val De Grise’s progress. She stepped out at the Barrier Trials at Deagon earlier this week against Saturday metropolitan winners and she held her own to place a fantastic 3rd in the trial. Robert Heathcote and the team are delighted with her progress and feel although she is still a little green, she would benefit from going to the races! Donny has just completed his second preparation with Michael Freedman at Randwick, where he was a perfect gentleman – doing everything that was asked of him. Michael feels he will be a colt that we will most likely see have his first race start during the Autumn Carnival next year and therefore he has now gone for a short break in the paddock before he returns to Randwick and will start to build his fitness heading towards his first race start.

Our 2YO Graff colt ‘Jake’ has now successfully completed his second preparation with the Price Kent Racing team at Cranbourne. He has now gone for a well earned break. We are so excited about this colt – he has the most professional attitude and really looks like a ready-made race horse. Not A Single Doubt as a Broodmare Sire has earnings over $4,000,000 this season so far and over $13,000,000 last season – now that is seriously impressive.
