FROM THE TRAINERS

The class of 2023 are making their mark

The class of 2023 is shaping up to be an exceptional group, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them in our stable. It has been a long time coming for a few who have faced some minor adversity to date, but the future is looking very bright.

Cardiologist: trained by the renowned duo of Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, is gearing up for an eagerly anticipated return to training after undergoing gelding surgery. This pivotal moment marks a new chapter in Cardiologist’s journey, and we are all eager to witness his performance as he hits the track once again.

Strasbeau: following a minor setback due to a gear issue during his last visit to Murray Bridge, Strasbeau is currently enjoying a well-deserved spell in the paddock. Under the expert guidance of Richard Jolly, he will be back in action after approximately 8 weeks. This spell will give him more time to mature and allow him to come back into the stable fresh with Richard and Chantelle looking to start from scratch with him.

Divine Existence: having undergone minor knee surgery last year, Divine Existence is back at Tulloch Lodge, where she is thriving under the care of the Waterhouse Bott Racing team. As she gradually builds up her base fitness levels, we eagerly anticipate her return to the track, knowing she is in very capable hands with a stable that is absolutely flying.

Global Eclipse: with a successful jump out at Rosehill in mid-April, Global Eclipse continues to impress under the patient guidance of the Freedman’s. Despite being a sizable colt, his progress has been steady, and we look forward to his upcoming trial at Warwick Farm.

Star Ambition: back in training on the Gold Coast after recovering from his injury last year, Star Ambition is making good progress. Following thorough checks by the vet, including scans of the previously fractured area, he’s set to return to action with a jump out or two and a trial on the horizon.

As we eagerly anticipate the debut of most of our class of 2023 on the racetrack in the coming months, we are reminded of the dedication and expertise of all involved in their development. From trainers and stable staff to veterinarians, each plays a crucial role in nurturing these talented athletes to reach their full potential. Most of all we would like to acknowledge and thank the owner’s who have supported the 2023 draft. We are excited to be on the journey with you.
