Caulfield-based trainer Mick Price came on board to train miRunners’ second horse, Shezawitness out of his Caulfield stables. Mick is thrilled with how this filly has progressed so far, and is excited to get her to the races in 2019.
One of Australia’s best trainers, Mick has over 2,145 career wins, including 37 Group 1 victories, a win rate of 17% and a place rate of 42%.
Price gained his licence in 1992 and has established himself as one of the best in the industry with consistently impressive results and winning more than $95 million in prize money.
Famous victories include Flying Artie in the Coolmore Stud Stakes and Mighty Boss in the Caulfield Guineas.
Sire
Star Witness is one of Australia’s most exciting young sires, sire of dual Group 1 winner Global Glamour and multiple Group 1 sprinting 3yo colt, Star Turn. He has had multiple stakes winners this season ranging from 1100m to 2400m in distance. Â
As a racehorse himself, he won over $1.36 million in prize money and was the Champion 2yo colt for 2009/2010 and the Champion 3yo colt for 2010/2011. He won both the Group 1Â Blue Diamond Stakes and the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, and placed in numerous Group races in his career.
