Dusty Tycoon draws a crowd to her first trial back

It was an exciting morning at Doomben last Tuesday with Dusty Tycoon returning to the trials following her invasive throat surgery a few months ago, with Rob and her owners just absolutely thrilled to see her back at the track. An insight into miEverest panel member Mark Waugh

The only thing Mark Waugh enjoys more than reeling off centuries for his country, is analysing race form and backing winners at the track.  The man they call “Junior” thrilled the cricket world for over a decade, playing 128 Test matches and posting 20 majestic centuries. Along with that he helped revolutionize the opening batsman’s role in One Day Internationals making 18 centuries. Waugh also impressed as a national selector and is now regarded as one of the sports most respected cricket commentators.  Waugh has always been a keen punter and racing enthusiast, having been introduced to the sport through…

An insight into miEverest panel member Lizzie Jelfs

Not too many people globally have a better ‘eye’ for a thoroughbred than Lizzie Jelfs. She has quickly won over the toughest of all critics, “the Aussie punter”, with her mounting yard analysis on Sky Racing and the Seven Network, often providing winners a big odds. Go Lizzie! Originally hailing from Oxford in England (she’s almost dropped the accent), Jelfs came to Australia in 2001 with aspirations of becoming a jockey. Working under the tutelage of the great CS Hayes, Jelfs worked as the travelling foreperson for the Lindsay Park team. However, it is in-front of the camera where Jelfs…
