Everest Day 2018 – A day to remember for many Zoushack owners

Last year on Everest Day, Zoushack made his debut in the Victory Vein Plate on a dismal day at Randwick. It surely wasn’t a dismal day for Zoushack owners however, who enjoyed every minute of their ownership experience. With over 40,000 attendees there for Australia’s richest race on turf, Zoushack owners felt like royalty watching their boy take to the track for the first time. Experiencing the mounting yard at Randwick and meeting trainer David Hayes as well as two-time Everest winning jockey Kerrin McEvoy is something they will never forget.  Not much went right for Zoushack in the run,…

Become a player in the Australian Racing boom

Whether it is the attractive prize money on offer, the glitz and glamour of down under racing carnivals, it is no doubt Australia is the country that aspiring global players want to get that win on their passport. Since the 1800’s Australian racing has captured the interests of international raiders in their quest for equine glory. The prestige of winning a race on Australian turf has lured some of the world’s most influential people such as Godolphin founder His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and The Queen of England.  Whilst the possibility of Australians owning a racehorse bred…

miRunners under lights and at the track

It has been an exciting past week for our owners of Zoushack and Bellarine Beauty, with Zoushack making his Victorian metro debut at the Valley last Friday night and Bellarine Beauty running in the race of the day yesterday at Ballarat.  Zoushack put in a gutsy effort to finish third after missing the start by a length and a half and not being able to really catch a break in the run following. Jockey Jamie Kah tried to pull to the outside and got blocked, then tried again to make a run on the inside and just couldn’t find a…

Those that dream big – take note

The Cox Plate, Golden Slipper and Sires Produce are races that are synonymous for producing Australian champions. In these group one races one common element stands out, the Snitzel factor. And for the first time, affordable access to Australia’s champion sire is here with miRunners precocious 2yo filly Northern Thunder, trained by Chris Munce. John Messera from Arrowfield Stud explained “These are races that owners dream about winning and Snitzel can make those dreams come true- his sons and daughters have already won them all.” As a two-time Champion Sire of juveniles his 2YO progeny speaks for itself: a total…

Trainer Chris Munce has his eyes set on the early 2YO races so it had to be a quick turn around to name the Snitzel x Typing filly! Naming nominations for this filly kicked off just three weeks ago, and with the help of a smart team at Racing Australia this filly will go to trial on Monday 23 September with her racing name. As part of the miRunners ownership model naming suggestions are open to the public and just like previous miRunners horses, this filly had hundreds of name suggestions. Steven Brown, miRunners CEO says: “It is so incredible…

Zoushack makes it 2 wins from 2 runs this preparation with a gutsy finish

Zoushack put in a gutsy performance to make it 2 wins from 2 outings this preparation, winning Race 10 at Seymour by a literal nose hair. In a tight photo finish which looked to have nothing in it, Zoushack kicked back when it mattered to make it back to back wins. After being vetted at the gates, 3YO gelding Zoushack jumped well out of the barriers and settled at the front of the field, leading from start to finish. In saying this, there was great tension in the finish when it looked as though the fast-finishing Deploys Alone was going…
