Last Saturday saw a monumental moment for exciting sire Exceed and Excel. Quite simply Exceed and Excel sired the quinella in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington Racecourse with runners Exceedance and Bivouac.
The Coolmore Stud Stakes is arguably Australia’s most important sire’s race of the year and to take out the quinella has everyone looking for an Exceed and Excel 2YO to snap up. You can see this moment in racing history below:

One sparkling jewel in the stallions crown is the 2014 Sportingbet Blue Diamond Stakes won by two-year-old filly Earthquake. In what was a sired quinella for Exceed and Excel with Jabali finishing in second place, the scintillating filly went on to earn in excess of $1.7 million from 12 starts. One notable achievement was her third placing to Winx as a three-year-old were she was beaten by 2.9L in the Group 2 Furious Stakes.

The miRunners two-year-old affectionately known as ‘Grace Kelly’ has already enjoyed an education preparation in Edmonds Gold Coast stables.
Identified as a ‘nice filly’ by the team her future sounds promising under the guidance of Australia’s leading strike rate trainer for the 2018/19 season.
“Moves great has a great attitude, good eater the whole lot… she will look super with a bit more time,” said Edmonds from a video report in early October.
Grace is now at the back end of her spell at Archer Park and from all reports she is progressing nicely. “As it is at this time of year, she is starting to lose her coat which is quite normal. It is starting to come out and she is looking really well” the Archer Park team said.
“She is a pleasure to do anything with, we are happy to have her around she has settled in really well here.”
