Already three of the miRunners two-year-olds have hit the ground running. In a partnership between Racing Queensland and miRunners, two premium-bred fillies by Snitzel and Written Tycoon have struck in the Sunshine State with a trial already completed by Northern Thunder.
UPDATE: DUSTY TYCOON WINS ON DEBUT TO A GROUP ONE ROAR on Saturday 16th November 2019
South of the border, the Hinchinbrook colt out of group one winning mare Gaze continues to please the Lindsay Park team by showing impressive signs with plans for an early trial. With excitement building around the miRunners community as the forward two-year-olds take to the track, why not jump on board the ownership ride.
The Chris Munce trained Northern Thunder led the charge of early miRunners two-year-olds to step out at an official trial. At the beginning of August, Munce indicated that the filly sired by Snitzel was coming along nicely, “she is probably just a little bit ahead of schedule.”
As the weeks progressed so did ‘Rocky’ and following hundreds of miRunners owners and followers submitting names it was time for Northern Thunder to take to the trials.
“She gave me a beautiful feel as she always does, and I think the key thing is that she did everything right.” Cormack said.
In quoting Forrest Gump “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get,” co-trainer Robert Heathcote admits that when he looks at the miRunners Written Tycoon filly he loves what he is looking at.
Following ‘Ginger Rogers’ first 400m barrier jump-out last Friday, a trial has been penciled in for October 8th.
“She has plenty of ability, just look at her go!” Heathcote reported. “We will let her tell us how far she is happy to go!”
The third early miRunners two-year-old is the impeccably bred Hinchinbrook x Gaze colt in the care of Lindsay Park trainers Hayes, Hayes and Dabernig. Identified as a “big strong horse” his progression has continued to show early signs over the past month. “The next step for them will be practice out of the gates.”
Towards the end of September, the Lindsay Park team said: “We are very pleased with the way he is progressing and will look to a gallop later in the week.”
As the miRunners two-year-old ownership ride begins to take early pace jump onboard today to enjoy the thrill of accessible premium racehorse ownership beginning at $176 + $15/ month.
