We’re excited to announce the winning silks design for Bellarine Beauty! Congratulations to Tim Gately who came up with this design, we all can’t wait to cheer her on wearing these colours!
We thought we would ask Tim a few questions on his design, and see what he is going to do with his $213 VISA gift card!
What influenced the design of these silks?
The navy blue hooped sleeves on white represent Geelong’s champion team, the Cats. I believe, and the submitted designs confirm that this iconic image is what most people think of when you mention Geelong. The navy blue jacket represents the beautiful waters of Corio Bay and Bellarine Peninsula. With the navy blue and white quartered cap I have honoured Bellarine Beauty’s lineage, namely the great Secretariat (who’s colours were blue and white checks.) Champion racehorse and greatest US Triple Crown winner the world has ever seen.
In a nutshell the silks represent a champion team, a champion location and a champion racehorse that we hope will impart it’s influence and ability onto Bellarine Beauty to help her become a champion in her own right. I also love the full miRunners logo which I think needs to be front and centre on the jacket and cap to help promote the syndicate and further create brand awareness.
How long have you been involved in miRunners? How many horses are in your stable?
I first met and fell in love with Ruby Jean our little Speed Queen in February 2018. It was at the Warwick Farm meet and greet with Bjorn Baker. As soon as I laid eyes on this little lady now known as Gaelic Puzzle I was hooked. I am now involved with four miRunners babies. The aforementioned Gaelic Puzzle, Bellarine Beauty, Apollo (Hinchinbrook x Gaze colt) and Grace (Exceed and Excel x Fate Rules filly). Thanks to miRunners I have met and made a bunch of new friends. Awakened a new passion and a thirst for new knowledge and understanding of our beautiful companions the horse.
What will you do with the $213 VISA gift card?
No brainer, if there is a share still available in Bellarine Beauty I will be cashing in that Visa card for a unit lickety split!
Congratulations again Tim on the amazing design! We can’t wait to see Bellarine Beauty wearing these silks come race day.
Interested in getting involved?
With only limited units remaining in Bellarine Beauty, you will have to move quickly if you want to buy-into this exciting filly with units available for just $198 plus a monthly fee of $15 for your first unit (and $5 for any additional units).
miRunners was able to purchase Bellarine Beauty for just $198,000 at the 2018 Inglis Sales. She caught the eye of miRunners’ Head of Bloodstock Mick Malone, who was thrilled to secure a filly by one of Australia’s top sires at such a great price.
Remember, once miRunners’ horses sell out you cannot buy into them. This is your one and only chance to buy into this filly by Not A Single Doubt, and is an opportunity you don’t want to pass by for just $198 per unit.
