3YO Champion’s Way capped off an impressive debut season with a convincing win in the 1600m G3 Lion Rock Trophy at Sha Tin on Sunday.
The son of Hinchinbrook became just the second three-year-old to win the race and marked himself as the early favourite for next season’s Classic Mile in the process. He motored home against a strong field under jockey Joao Moreira, adding another group win for sire Hinchinbrook.
The win marks the 6th win in 7 starts for 3YO Champion’s Way in his first season on the track. Watch the race replay below:
