The excitement is building for owners in our Not A Single Doubt x Countess Dehere filly trained by Troy Corstens, as she is now readying to make her race day debut.
The filly had her first jump out on grass last week in Geelong, and after looking a bit wobbly out of the gates, she then tellingly showed great speed to end up winning the jumpout impressively.
“She was slow into stride but then showed a nice turn of foot once she balanced up and hit the line well” said Troy following the jumpout.
Troy was quite impressed with the way she picked herself up after being slow out of the gates, showing her competitive streak early, which may well prove to be a quality that counts on many occasions during her racing career.
“She gives me a really good feel at this early stage. I really like the way she showed some guts and determination and quickly picked up her rivals” said Troy.
Watch the jumpout replay below (she jumps from barrier one black & white colours):
Trainer Troy Corstens was very happy with the effort, and is confident that a good trial in two weeks time should have her close to being ready to hit the track for her race debut.
Troy has been excited by this filly from the start, describing her as a “filly in a colt’s body”. Have a listen to our latest interview with Troy and his views on the filly below:
