There is no question about it, Gollan Stables are on fire at the moment. The most exciting part about it is that a lot of the stables’ success is coming from their young runners, in particular their 2YOs. Three of Gollan’s 2YO fillies are standing out at the moment including Vincere Volare, Niedorp, and Perudo. With all three 2YOs having had 2 runs each, they have had 4 wins between them and 2 second placings.
The success of these 2YO fillies is an encouraging sign for our owners of filly Lyrical Girl, who is back in work at Gollan Stables and looking to hit the track in the coming weeks. With a limited number of units still available for just $275 upfront and $15/month, secure yours today to jump on the journey of thoroughbred ownership with the promising Lyrical Girl filly trained by Tony Gollan!
Vincere Volare
Filly Vincere Volare is on her way to Sydney, with the end goal being a spot in the world renowned Group 1 Golden Slipper on March 23 at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. Before this, she will test her slipper opponents in the Reisling Stakes for 2YO fillies held at Royal Randwick Racecourse on March 9.
Vincere Volare has secured two wins from her two starts, and from those two wins has already exceeded $115k in prize money. After winning on debut at Doomben on November 24, the filly was spelled and given time to further mature before coming back to win the $125k race at Doomben on February 16. She faced an early speed battle in the race, before gaining the lead in the straight and bursting through to win comfortably by three lengths. Watch the impressive replay below:
Niedorp
After being beaten narrowly on debut at Toowoomba on October 15 last year, 2YO filly Niedorp was put out for a spell before returning to Doomben on Saturday to lead the race from start to finish. She narrowly beat the race favourite and stablemate Perudo, showing great strength and determination in the straight. Watch the race replay below:
The future looks bright for this 2YO filly, who from her two race starts has exceeded $85,000 in prize money.
Perudo
After winning her debut at Toowoomba by a comfortable four length margin on February 16, filly Perudo was narrowly beaten by a head on Saturday at Doomben by stablemate Niedorp. Coming into the race as the $2.50 favourite, the filly put on a strong performance but just missed out on the line to finish second.
