A day of racing at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday was dominated by our three miRunners Queensland trainers. Tony Gollan, Chris Munce and Robert Heathcote combined to win five races on the nine race card, an impressive performance by all three trainers.

Tony Gollan trains the ready to race 2YO filly Lyrical Girl, and with Gollan’s impressive 2YO results on Saturday, all owners are excited to get her to the races and enjoy watching the preparation lead up. Units in Lyrical Girl are available for just $275 per unit, with monthly recurring fees of $15 and $5 a month for an subsequent units purchased.
Chris Munce has come on board to race the well bred Snitzel x Typing, who was purchased by miRunners at the Magic Millions Yearling Sales on the Gold Coast this year for $330 000. Robert Heathcote has been chosen to train the miRunners Written Tycoon x Sponsored filly, who was purchased at the Magic Millions Yearling Sales on the Gold Coast this year for just $176 000 (inc gst). Having expected to pay nearer to $300k, miRunners Head of Bloodstock Mick Malone couldn’t believe the bargain price we got this filly for, making her available for just $176 per unit, with monthly recurring fees of $15 and $5 a month for an subsequent units purchased.

Tony Gollan
It was an incredible start to the day for Gollan Stables, securing a win over the much supported favourite in the first before scoring an impressive quinella in the second race of the day. It only got better from there, with Gollan winning another and placing in another two races, making it six results out the nine races for Gollan runners.
In Race 1 of the day at Eagle Farm, 4YO gelding Get Stuck In came from last in the field to win over the top of the favourite Drumadoir, starting off the day right for Gollan Stables. Watch the replay below:
Stablemates Garibaldi and Ready To Roam secured the quinella in the second race of the day, highlighting Gollan’s incredible form when it comes to getting 2YOs to the track. Garibaldi won by two lengths after coming wide on the turn and finishing strongly, with Ready to Roam recovering from a bump in the straight to finish fast and get the quinella for Gollan Stables. Macewen made it a treble for Team Gollan after winning the sixth race of the day, coming from last on the turn to finish strongly over the top of the well-tried  favourite Magic Fox. 3YO gelding Macewen handled the rise in class following her last start win, making it two wins in a row for the 3YO. To top off the day for Gollan Stables, Capital Connection and Of The Day both secured placings in Race 3 and Race 9. Both challenged to the line to finish third, with Brains struggling with the rise in weight and finishing fourth in Race 8.
Chris Munce
4YO mare Skate To Paris returned from a quick three week freshen up to come from the trail of the field an win for trainer Chris Munce and her connections. This win marks her second victory from four starts this preparation, bringing her prize money to over $262 000.
Skate To Paris was bought at the Magic Millions Yearling Sales for just $10 000, and Munce has trained her into the mare she is today. She was one of his first purchases at the Magic Millions for Munce Racing in 2015, and what a buy she has been for Chris Munce. Watch the impressive replay of her latest win below:
Robert Heathcote
Robert Heathcote topped off the day for our Queensland miRunners trainers, scoring an impressive victory with Ingeegoodbe in Race 7. 6YO gelding Ingeegoodbe showed he certainly still has it, coming from the tail of the field to draw wide on the turn and win by a small margin over race favourite Bergerac.
