The future is looking bright for the miRunners Lyrical Girl filly trained by Tony Gollan, who is expected to have her first trial at Doomben over 840m on Tuesday 4 December. Gollan has been constantly impressed by the work of this filly over her preparation this time in, and thinks she is ready to take the next step towards her race day debut.
Tony expects her to trial well given her impeccable work on the track, and believes she could follow a similar path to stablemate 2YO filly Vincere Volare. The stable had planned to send Vincere Volare out for a spell, but after her impressive trial win thought it was a clear indication that she was ready for her race debut. Vincere Volare made her race debut at Doomben on Saturday 24 November, winning impressively.

Tony was quoted post Vincere Volare’s debut as saying: “She has done a good job because she has had three jump-outs and trials and won her trial on Tuesday. At this stage I had planned on spelling her after the race on Saturday but given the result I will speak to the owners and this could possibly change.
“I think she is an autumn horse but there is a $500,000 Inglis Nursery race next month for which she is eligible so we will see”.
