Fashions on the field are an exciting part of Spring Racing and a wonderful way for race enthusiasts to express their own personality. The colour, the personality, the style and it makes racing the all-encompassing experience it is.
In the miRunner stable of owners, we are lucky enough to have an Equestrian Fashion blogger as an owner and supporter. La-Toyah Asha fell in love with Saganaki, the first miRunners horse, and since then has added horse ownership to her resume.
“Whether it is the dress, hat, or accessories; horseracing is the best experience, which shows off the latest of trends from high street fashion to racewear and trackside” La-Toyah Asha, HighHeels and HorseShoes
Recently La-Toyah took a look at the incredible fashion influence Gai Waterhouse has had on the racing industry. We thought given Gai is the driving force behind the miRunners Not a Royal Doubt filly we should learn from the master before stepping out onto the field tomorrow at Ballarat.
La-Toyah says: “The Flemington Racecourse has strict etiquette for visitors of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, which has been part of the Carnival for generations.
“Getting your outfit ready for the Melbourne Cup Carnival means respecting the traditions and dress codes.
“There are four main days of the Spring Carnival that each come with a certain dress code.”
In relation to the Victoria Racing Club and Myer Fashions On The Field Competition, La-Toyah says: “I have been involved with the FOF competition for the past 10 years and I am stoked with the new changes that will encourage more fashionistas to get onboard.”
