MiRunners recently completed a survey of our owners. We spoke to 398 owners representing 22% of the total miRunners community. All up, 89% did not own any shares in racehorses when they bought miRunners units.
And 67% were buying into racehorses for the first time in their lives.
What’s also exciting is that 29% of these first-time owner then bought more units in miRunners horses, or also bought shares in syndicates in other horses, or both. The miRunners ownership experience, for many owners, is the start of something bigger, as well as the start of something special.
Being a miRunners owner is very much a personal experience, forging new connections with owners, trainers and horses for the first time, but it’s also about creating a new industry grassroots movement to make quality, premium racehorse ownership available for many more Australians from all walks of life. That grassroots movement continues to grow.

Each horse is available as 1,000 units, making each unit the most-affordable way to becoming an owner in the industry. For the first unit bought in any miRunners horse, owners pay $15 each month to cover costs and care, which drops to $5 per month for the second and subsequent units bought.
