We spoke to leading Victorian trainer Troy Corstens about our partnership with Geelong Race Club, as well as his horse training philosophy and what it takes to get them prepped for race day.
“Right from the day dot that a horse is born, they go through lots of different preparations. They will come in and they’ll be handled as weanlings and young horses, which is done usually up on the farms in the Hunter Valley or here in Victoria or around the regional centres. And then they’ll go to a horse sale, go through all that preparation. Then they go get broken in after that. So it’s constantly about education.”

“It gives everyday people an opportunity to race a horse they probably wouldn’t usually get the chance to do.”
