The Gollan stable has already had success with Your Song X Sheeznodoubt sisters She’s Our Star and Hollaback Girl. And it is the success and belief in the family that prompted Tony Gollan to go looking to purchase more of this family at Magic Millions. It was a match made in heaven when miRunners approached Tony Gollan with this filly in mind.
She’s Our Star is the eldest of the clan and a half sister to Your Song X Sheeznodoubt. Foaled in 2014 out of Sheeznodoubt by Star Witness she has delivered more than her sale price in prize money to her owners and the stable. She was a flying machine that was unlucky and has been retired as a broodmare. She proved herself as a listed race place getter and that is a significant achievement.
Hollaback Girl is next in line foaled in 2015 and is a full sister to Your Song X Sheeznodoubt. A wide barrier, bad weather and a heavy track combined to get the better of this girl in the QTIS 2YO plate at Doomben. But she is back in training now and trialled in the last week to a magnificent winning finish. And although Tony has admitted she has had some setbacks, the bad combination of factors at the 2YO Plate to name one, wholeheartedly believes she is the “real deal”.
And while all eyes will be on Hollaback Girl in the coming weeks as a second trial and race are on the cards Your Song X Sheeznodoubt is busy preparing for pre training and a return to the stables.
