One of Australia’s leading trainers has given miRunners the biggest possible endorsement.
Mick Price, a trainer with more than 2,000 wins – including 33 Group 1 victories – to his name, has not only encouraged everyday Australians to sign up to miRunners, he has put his money where his mouth is by agreeing to train one of their latest horses.
When miRunners launched in 2016, Price was one of the first trainers to endorse the model and while he didn’t have a miRunners horse of his own in the first year, it didn’t take long until that changed.
After the sold out success of Saganaki, miRunners announced their intention to purchase more horses in 2018 and Price was the first trainer to put his hand up and secure one of the new horses: mainly because he believes passionately in the miRunners model.
“The beauty of miRunners is that anyone can get involved and get the same feel and experience of ownership that kings and queens get,” said Price.
“The entry level price for the interest you get back is outstanding value. Your unit is your unit and it doesn’t matter who you are: you are an owner of your horse and when you follow it you’ll get the same adrenalin and the same hype from it as any owner in the industry gets with any horse.

“I’ve had people who invest in racing on a small basis say, ‘this has changed my life’. They get involved, get the whole sport into their blood and it’s a highlight of their lives.”
Price will be training Shezawitness, a well-bred filly which was bought at the 2018 Gold Coast Magic Millions for $198,000. You can own a unit in this muscular yearling for only $198 plus a $15 monthly fee.
The majority of units have already sold in Shezawitness with the limited units remaining tipped to go quickly. As an owner you get a number of benefits but most importantly you get an emotional attachment to the horse as well as being able to watch the horse progress through the various stages of its life through weekly video updates such as the example below.
