Shezawitness will be trained by leading Melbourne trainer Mick Price, a winner of 33 Group 1 races and earner of more than $86 million in prize money.
As an owner you will have a say in naming the horse, receive a certificate of ownership, have opportunities to meet the horse, get a pro-rata share of prize money won and be able to access weekly video updates from Mick Price.
What the trainer thinks
Melbourne based Mick Price will be taking control of Shezawitness. A multiple Group 1 winning trainer, Price likes what he sees in this filly.
“The first thing I see is a bit of male quality about her. Some of the best fillies have little masculine traits about them and that’s the feel I with her: she’s a sweet filly but she’s got that little bit of aggression about her that will furnish into a big powerful three-year-old.
“She’s very free-flowing, she covers the ground, she’s going to develop and she reminds me of the likes of Sunline and Black Caviar: the really outstanding mares that have gone on and on that have that little touch of male strength or muscle.”
“I just have a good feel about her.”
What the stud thinks
Established in 1867, Widden Stud has been producing successful thoroughbreds for over 150 years. Most recently they have been the #1 producer of Group 1 winners in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
“Star Witness is one of the most up-and-coming young stallions in the country and he’s got some outstanding fillies, this filly is as good a Star Witness filly I’ve seen at the sales for two or three years.
“Star Witness is the sire of Global Glamour who is a duel Group 1 winner, a Magic Millions graduate and also the sire of Our Crown Mistress who is one of the up-and-coming fillies in the country.
“He looks like a stallion who can get a really, really good filly and physically you won’t see better than Shezawitness.”

Marketing & Stallion Nominations Manager
“She’s a lovely filly, she’s got a great hindquarter, a beautiful Star Witness featured head, great bone and she moves really well. You’ll get an honest filly out of her, she’ll be a spirited filly and won’t be one to lay down in a fight that’s for sure.
“You’ve bought very, very well. Paid a fair price for a filly by a stallion with the likes of Global Glamour, duel Group 1 winner by Star Witness and a similar mould of horse to this filly.”
