Saganaki’s racing silks have been announced after the Australian public voted for the winning design and colours.
From day one Saganaki has been the people’s horse: owned by hundreds of everyday Australians, the public not only chose the colt’s name but submitted a number of racing silk designs.
The owners selected a shortlist of three from the variety of designs that were submitted, leaving the Australian public to choose the final winner which has been announced today.
The winning design was submitted by Frank Moyle and features both the miRunners logo and the miRunners colours.
Saganaki is the first horse of the ground-breaking miRunners ownership model, where high quality race horses with some of Australia’s best trainers are split into 1,000 units which are available to purchase.

Having had first nominations accepted for both the Golden Slipper and Magic Millions Classic, Saganaki sold out with all 1,000 units being snapped up before he even began barrier trials.
The great news is that while Saganaki may be the first miRunners horse, he will not be the last.
Mick Price has been announced as trainer of the next miRunners horse, which we are planning to purchase at the Gold Coast Magic Millions sales in January.
