Hundreds of everyday Australians have made history with all 1,000 units in the ground-breaking colt, Saganaki, now sold!
Purchased by miRunners at the Gold Coast Magic Millions for $165,000 in January 2017, the two-year-old colt was split into 1,000 units which have all been snapped up ahead of Saganaki’s first trial on Monday.

It represents a strong indication of growth for the racing industry, proof that the miRunners model works and taps the passion for everyday Australians to experience horse ownership.
Until miRunners and Saganaki, most people were priced out of thoroughbred ownership but with an entry point of just $165 (plus a $15 monthly fee for 3 years) in Saganaki, ownership was instantly made accessible to all Australians for the first time.
From the beginning, Saganaki was the people’s’ horse. The Australian public owned him, named him and even designed his racing silks. Owners have been able to meet the colt, owners have followed the colt’s progress every week with video updates from Kris Lees and owners have fallen in love with the colt.
Saganaki’s completed sale is a remarkable story for the racing industry and when combined with the success of last week’s Everest race – which saw a record 33,512 people through the gate – truly shows the power of people and the impact of innovation in racing.
