miRunners executive director Chris Ryan spoke last year about how our new Australian start-up is offering punters the chance to buy into a thoroughbred racehorse for as little as $275.
Our founders hoped to attract a fresh crowd to the races amid dwindling attendance numbers. With nearly 2000 new Australian horse owners from all walks of life, we’re confident we have a winning model.
By making it possible for hundreds of thousands of Australians to own a share in a premium thoroughbred, miRunners hopes to invigorate the future of Australian racing.
Regardless of the number of units you own, you still get full ownership benefits:
- certificates of ownership
- invitations to meet the horse
- weekly video updates from the trainer
- likely a private area to watch the horse race at the track
- a pro-rate share of any prize money
- (and of course!) the emotional investment of watching your horse grow, learn and race
Our horses are exciting prospects for the 2018 race season. Saganaki had a great start last year, and this year we’ve got Golden Slipper nominations in our stable. Learn more about our horses here.
It’s exciting times ahead for miRunners.
